He was born on April 10, 1977, in Boone, Iowa, the son of Delbert Wildt and Ruby Elsberry (Williams). He graduated from Boone High School. He was a resident of Boone his entire life.
David Wildt was known by everyone as Pickle. He loved fishing, hunting and having a few drinks with family. He enjoyed music, especially listening to his nephew's band, the Justin Elliott band. He always tried to sing along. Family was important to him. He was always willing to help anyone who needed help with things.
He was preceded in death by his father, Delbert Wildt; half-brothers, Larry Wildt and Lonnie Wildt; half-sister, Linda Stiles; and grandparents, Loyde and Viola Williams.
He is survived by his son, Levi Wildt; mother, Ruby Elsberry; sisters, Ruth Wildt and Rhonda Elliott; brother, Danny Wildt; half-sisters, Lynette Stafford and Lori Ducksworth; as well as many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
