David Ernest Wilson Dave, age 66 died Saturday, October 30, 2010 at his residence in Manassas, Virginia.

He was born June 19, 1944 in Providence, Rhode Island, the only son of the late Ernest and Ruby Edgerly Wilson. He was preceded in death by his wife of 23 years, Barbara (Davis) Wilson.

Dave was a devoted husband to Barbara and a true family man, friend, and mentor to many. His life was significant to many people, but most of all to his large extended family. He touched many lives and everyone he touched was positively impacted. A veteran who served our nation with exemplary service that included one tour in Germany with the 123rd Signal Battalion and two tours of duty in Vietnam. Dave also served in the U.S. Army Reserve as a retired LTC. During his distinguished career he received many awards, most notable, the Bronze Star.

Dave worked for several corporations including RCA and Sperry Univac, utilizing his skills as an Electrical Engineer and as a Project Manager, delivering exceptional products to their customer base. Following corporate life, Dave became a successful builder and real estate entrepreneur, known for his fairness and skill in property management.

Dave will be missed by all who have worked and served with him during his rich and vibrant life.

The family will receive friends at Pierce Funeral Home, 9609 Center Street, Manassas, VA on Thursday, November 4, 2010 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM. Funeral services will take place at the funeral home on Friday, November 5, 2010 at 11:00 AM. Interment will follow immediately after at Quantico National Cemetery, Triangle, VA.
