In Loving Memory of David Eric Wise December 13, 1962 – November 30, 2025
David Eric Wise, 62, entered into eternal rest on November 30, 2025. He was born on December 13, 1962, in San Antonio, Texas, and spent the majority of his life in Corpus Christi, where he built lasting friendships, strong roots, and a life filled with love and purpose.
David was a man of many passions. He enjoyed listening to Rock, Christian, and Tejano music, and he could often be found browsing through tool stores or admiring his collection of guns. A true John Wayne admirer and a proud Dallas Cowboys fan, David also loved golfing and cherished every moment spent with his grandkids. His presence, humor, and familiar voice brought comfort to many.
He is preceded in death by his mother, Anita Marie McDonald, and his father, Harold Vern Wise. David leaves behind his brother, Harold Bruce Wise, and his sister, Debra J. Wise Ghormley; his in-laws, & many beloved nieces and nephews; and a circle of good friends who knew the depth of his kindness and generosity.
David will be profoundly missed by his daughter Elizabeth Jaramillo, his son-in-law Rafael Jaramillo Sr., and his grandchildren Rafael, Liam, Emma, and Luis, who brought tremendous joy to his life.
David attended Calvary Lighthouse Church in Portland, where he worshipped in the company of his family. His faith and simplicity were reflected in the way he lived-never wanting anything extravagant, always appreciating the little things.
For many years, David served as a Respiratory Therapist at Christus Spohn Shoreline Hospital in Corpus Christi, caring for patients with dedication and compassion. He later worked at H&H Towing, where he formed meaningful friendships that he treasured deeply. David loved his time there and never wanted to leave, but after his stroke, his physical limitations made it difficult for him to continue the job he enjoyed so much.
True to his character, David made his final wishes known-nothing fancy, nothing expensive, just simple and from the heart. His family has honored each of those wishes with love.
A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, December 2nd, 2025 at 7:30 PM Calvary Lighthouse Church Portland, Texas
