LEHIGH ACRES, FL -- David L. Worch, 67, of Lehigh Acres, Florida, formerly of rural Hollansburg, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025, at his home.
He was born on August 18, 1958, in Greenville, Ohio, to Dorothy (Lyme) Worch of Greenville, and the late Fred H. Worch.
In addition to his mother, Dave is survived by his loving wife, Judy (Stark) Worch; his children, Jeremy Worch of New Madison, Stacie (Kyle) Davis of Beavercreek, Chris (Brittany) Worch of Millersport, Ohio, and Jennifer (Jake) Fries of Covington; his stepson, Matthew Ridge of Booneville, Mississippi; his 8 grandchildren; and his sisters, Kathy (Dave) Royer of Greenville, and Kim (Mark) Cooley of New Madison.
Dave will be remembered as an honest, hard-working man whose life was firmly rooted in the values he lived every day. A true steward of the land, he dedicated himself to farming-a passion that shaped his character and brought him deep fulfillment. Dave was known for his meticulous maintained tractors and farm. He loved working the ground, planting each season with care, and harvesting the crops he tended with such pride. Dave was once told by a neighbor that he could plant corn on the road, and it would grow.
From a young age, Dave found joy in agriculture. He especially enjoyed working with and showing dairy cattle at the Darke County Fair, an experience that sparked a lifelong interest. His connection to cattle continued throughout the years, a thread of continuity that tied together many chapters of his life.
Dave's hands were rarely idle. When he wasn't farming, he could often be found woodworking, gardening, or adding to his coin collection. He appreciated the simple, beautiful things in life-like listening to mockingbirds sing, a small pleasure that brought him peace.
Above all, Dave will be remembered for his resilience. He faced hardship with quiet courage, meeting difficult moments head-on and emerging with strength, wisdom, and a renewed determination to move forward. That unwavering spirit was the essence of who he was.
Dave's work ethic, resilience, and deep love for the land leave a legacy that will continue to inspire all who knew him.
A celebration of Dave's life will be held at 12:00 PM, on Friday, December 12, 2025, at Tribute Funeral Homes, Greenville Campus, with Pastor Tony Price. Burial will follow in Palestine Cemetery.
Family and friends may visit with Dave's family on Friday from 10:00 AM until 12:00PM.
Memorial contributions may be given to Michael J. Fox Foundation for Parkinsons.
