David Franklin Wright IV was born in Brooklyn, New York, on October 9, 1983. He was a loving husband, father, brother, son, uncle, friend, and colleague. On September 25, 2025, at the age of 41, David's life here came to an end, leaving behind a legacy of love, laughter, and unforgettable memories.

He is survived by his husband, Craig Richard Lewis; his son Knox and daughter Kruz; his father David Franklin Wright Jr. and his wife Peggy; and his siblings David Wright III (Jessica), Dallas Wright, Desiree Wright (Jerry Edwards), and Dinah Gowan (Eddie). He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, and colleagues who adored him.

David's passion was food, and he built his life around sharing that gift with others. He was the Director of Food and Beverage at the Branson Convention Center and a proud member of the Legends (ASM) Global family for many years, working in multiple locations where he was respected, admired, and loved by all. He brought his culinary artistry to local television, making regular guest appearances to showcase his creations and share his expertise. To David, food was never just a job-it was an act of love, creativity, and connection, always presented with excellence and vision for the future. He invested in the local communities in each venue where he worked. Most recently in Branson, he worked with Branson High School's future culinary leaders in the Pro Start program. Donations in David's honor will be accepted in lieu of flowers to continue this program.

David's adventurous spirit was just as much a part of him as his passion for food. After the thrill of his first skydive, he discovered a new kind of freedom when he bought his first Harley-Davidson. Riding was where he felt most alive-the rush of the throttle, the change in temperature and smell as the wind carried him forward, the dance between risk and freedom. To him, riding was life distilled: the edge, the exhilaration, and the beauty of feeling utterly alive.

David was a man who poured his heart into everything he did, whether it was creating a meal, sharing a laugh, or chasing adventure. His warmth, courage, and zest for life will forever live on in those who were blessed to know him.
