David Carroll Wright

David Carroll Wright, 72, of Lexington, Kentucky, passed away peacefully in his home surrounded by his family on Wednesday, November 26, 2025.

Whenever you were with Dave, you felt held in his presence. He looked you in the eye with such steadiness that you knew he was seeing you fully, and you effortlessly felt safe in his company. He spoke slowly and intentionally, never rushing a thought, always listening first. He was truly happy to be with others, and his contentment was contagious. His warmth, positivity, and deep authenticity came from a quiet inner security that poured out of him like living water. And though he'd gladly tell you that his peace came from his love of Jesus, he also didn't have to - you just knew.

Dave is survived by the love of his life, Carolyn Crowder Wright, whom he was blessed to call his wife for 22 beautiful years; by his two beloved children, Ben Wright (Alicia), and Caroline Logan (Josh), who were his greatest sources of pride and joy, as well as by his two spirited sons-by-choice, Tony Radden (Mollie), and Josh Radden (Angie); by many beloved nieces and nephews; and finally by his four grandchildren, Josh, Blayre, Steel and Tyler, who brought him joy so intense it would be an insult to even try and capture in words.

Visitation will be held Saturday, November 29, 2025, at Clark Legacy Center, Brannon Crossing, beginning at 10:00 AM, with memorial services to follow at 11:00 AM. A reception will continue until 1:30 PM.
