David Michael Wright, 79, passed away Tuesday, December 30, 2025, in Southaven, MS. A visitation will be Friday, January 2, 2025, from 11:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m., with a Celebration of Life to follow at 12:00 p.m., all at Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven. Rev. Dean Stewart will officiate. Coleman Funeral Home of Southaven is in charge of arrangements.

David was known for his sharp intellect, quick wit, and sarcastic humor, which he shared freely regardless of the company. He was deeply loving and attentive to those around him. A lifelong sports enthusiast, David excelled as an athlete in his younger years and also possessed a strong singing voice. He was a proud United States Marine veteran who faithfully served his country.

David was strong in his faith and a devoted believer in Christ. During his time as a member of Trinity, he greatly enjoyed serving as a Sunday School teacher. He was also a long-time sports coach, finding great joy in teaching and mentoring his children and grandchildren.

David is survived by his wife, Cindy Wright of Southaven; mother, Evelyn Bruce Wright of Senatobia, MS; children, Brian Wright and wife Stacie of Madison, MS, and Brent Wright and wife Shelley of Birmingham, AL; stepchildren, Jake Bone and wife Deanna of Southaven, Elizabeth Bone of Horn Lake, MS, and Jaime Doss of Pontotoc, MS; eight grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; and his sister, Susan Kincaid of Oklahoma City, OK.

He was preceded in death by his father, Dennis P. Wright.
