Mr. David Lee Wright

Evans Funeral Home of Jefferson announces the death of Mr. David Lee Wright, age 62 of Jefferson, Georgia who entered rest Friday, January 23, 2026. Mr. Wright was born in Winder, Georgia a son of the late Marion Junior Wright, Jr. and the late Mildred Louise Holman Wright. Mr. Wright owned and operated Ga.'s Best Mobile Home Set Up for thirty years. Mr. Wright enjoyed the outdoors and loved hunting and fishing and providing for his family. In addition to his parents, Mr. Wright is preceded by brothers, Ricky Wright, Randy "Fatback" Wright, Johnny William Wright, and great grandson, Grayson Knox Duncan.

Survivors include his wife of eighteen years, Marie Wood Wright. Son, David Junior Wright, daughter, Samantha Wright and step daughter, Kelley McDaniel (Joey). Grandchildren; Kendra Wright, Cheyenne Ottaviano, Braelynn Christine Wright, Landon McDaniel, Xavier Duncan, Joshua Gonzales and Alyssa Jenkins. Great grandchildren; Oaklann Rae Duncan, Harper Jane Duncan, Kollins Duncan and numerous others who knew him as PaPa. Brother, Jeremiah Wright, sister, Katie Grizzle (Larry), brother, Marion Wright (Judy), sister, Pam Kitchens (Brian) and numerous nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, January 28, 2026 from the Chapel of Evans Funeral Home with Reverend Don Blalock officiating with burial to follow in Jackson Memorial Gardens. Gentlemen honored as pallbearers are Jeremiah Wright, Joey McDaniel, Sean Highfield, Xavier Duncan, Joshua Gonzales, Grant Wright and Landon McDaniel. The family will receive friends 6:00 – 8:00 P.M. Tuesday, January 27, 2026 at Evans Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made in memory of Mr. David Lee Wright to Outdoors Beyond Barriers an organization that works through the Department of Natural Resources to assist handicapped individuals to be able to hunt and fish. Donations may be made at https://gnrf.gadnr.org/donate
