Mr. David Lee Zornes

DAVID LEE ZORNES David Lee Zornes, age 75 of Princewick, passed away Saturday, April 25, 2009 at his home. Born January 16, 1934 at Helen, he was the son of the late J. Brack and Anna Mae Evans Zornes. Mr. Zornes likes gardening, playing bingo, and bowling. He served in the U. S. Navy during the Korean War and was a member of the Sophia/Midway VFW and was a Retired Mine Inspector. Those left to cherish his memory include his wife Anna Marie Zornes of Princewick; one son, David Shumate and wife Kellie of Richmond, VA; two daughters, Sharlet Kirt and husband David and Cindy Zornes all of Richmond, VA; one sister, Phyllis Maynard and husband Gene of Hopewell, VA; several grandchildren; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. Services will be held Tuesday, April 28, 2009 at 2:00 PM at Williams-Blue Ridge Funeral Home, Sophia with Pastor Kenneth Overdorff officiating. Burial will follow in Sunset Memorial Park, Beckley. Family and friends will serve as Pallbearers. Friends may gather with the family Tuesday from 1:00 until the time of the service at the funeral home.
