Dawn Marie Arrowood, age 48, of Mt. Pleasant, Tennessee, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Monday, February 23, 2026.
Dawn lived a life filled with love, laughter, and deep devotion to her family. She met the love of her life, John, and the two built a beautiful marriage that spanned 30 years. Together they created a life grounded in faithfulness, resilience, and joy. Through both hardships and happiness, their love remained constant.
Their union was blessed with two children, and in 2003 they made their home in Mt. Pleasant, where they remained ever since. Dawn’s greatest joy in life was her beloved grandchildren. She treasured every moment spent with them and was proudly known as the very best “Nana.”
She will be forever missed by all who knew and loved her.
Dawn is survived by her devoted husband, John Arrowood; her daughter, Jennifer Morgan (Joshua); her son, Adrian Arrowood; her sisters, Tammie Rivers and Sandra Butler (Jerome); her cherished grandchildren, April, Hunter, and Jameson; as well as countless nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Micheal and Deborah Rivers; her grandmother, Wilma Nyman; her in-laws, James and Ruby Arrowood; her brothers-in-law, Adrian and Charles Arrowood; her sisters-in-law, Gail Trotter and Sharon Makdad; her sister, Michele Alkire; her nephews, Alfred Miles and Christopher Rosario Jr ; and her aunt, Phyllis Shelton.
Dawn will be cremated, and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date.
