Dawn Lawson Devane, born on August 17, 1957, in Pitt County, North Carolina, passed away peacefully from natural causes on December 17, 2025, in Guilford County, North Carolina, at the age of 68.

Dawn dedicated her career to the United States Postal Service, where she worked diligently as a data technician. Her commitment and hard work were evident throughout her thirty years of service until her well-earned retirement.

In her personal life, Dawn found joy in simple pleasures. She cherished her time shopping and visiting casinos with her best friend, Wanda. Her love for Yorkies was well-known among her family and friends, and she took great pleasure in cooking, often sharing her culinary creations with those she loved.

Dawn was preceded in death by her beloved parents, Hugh Edwin Lawson and Mary Martha Baldwin. She is survived by her brother, Allen Lawson, and his wife, Roxanne Smith Lawson of Pittsboro. She also leaves behind her cherished niece and nephew, Allan Lawson and his wife, Lindsay, and Ashley Lawson and her boyfriend, Mike.

The family will honor Dawn's memory and celebrate her life privately, in accordance with her wishes. She will be deeply missed by all who knew her, and her memory will be treasured forever.
