Dawn M. Kling

Dawn M. Kling, age 55, of Fox Lake, WI, passed away on Sunday, February 15, 2026 at Froedtert Hospital in Wauwatosa, WI.

Dawn was born on July 3, 1970 in Arlington Heights, IL, daughter of Joseph and Bonnie (Warren) Yost. She grew up and attended school in Racine, WI, and later moved to Ripon and Fox Lake, WI. Dawn worked at Amcor (formerly Bemis) in Oshkosh for many years where she met many friends. Dawn enjoyed being outside getting a tan and in the water. Moon Lake was her favorite place to swim, kayak, and just hang out. She also loved riding motorcycles and listening to good 80’s hard rock. Halloween was her favorite time of the year, and she was known for her elaborate yard decorations.

Dawn is survived by her guy, Frank “Chip” Sontag; her mom, Bonnie Warren; daughter, Dakota (Ethan) Kutz; sister, Jennifer (Jesse) Pflueger; brother, Matthew (Jessica) Yost; two granddaughters, Aria and Raelynn; two nephews, Christopher (Maggie) and Jordan (Maritza); a niece, Creedence; and former husband and father of Dakota, Rich Kling. She was preceded in death by her dad, Joseph Yost; her grandparents; and her step-dad, Dan Higley.

Visitation for Dawn will be held from 2:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Friday, February 20, 2026 at Butzin-Marchant Funeral Home, 515 Mayparty Dr., Ripon, WI 54971. A celebration of life will be held for Dawn at a later date as well. A memorial is being established in her name.
