Chilson. Dawson White, Jr., 93, of Chilson, passed away on Sunday, April 16, 2023, at the UVM Medical Center of Burlington, Vermont.
Born in
Detroit, Michigan, March 7, 1930, he was the son of the late Dawson T. and Gertrude (Cunningham) White.
Dawson was a resident of Chilson for many years. He was employed by the International Paper Company of Ticonderoga for many years and was also a very talented Master Craftsman.
He enjoyed the outdoors and was an avid hunter, fisherman, camper and boater. He loved animals, especially his cats.
Dawson was very active through his life, and still at the age of 93. He was a member of the Sons of the American Legion.
Dawson had a big heart and infectious smile, and would help anyone in need.
He was pre-deceased by his companion of over 40 years, Eleanor M. Hargett on January 24, 2007. He was also pre-deceased by his parents; his step-son, James Hargett; his step-daughter, Sheila Pelerin and her husband Bill; two sisters, Ruby Maxine Kisamore and Doris White; and five brothers, Richard White, Edwin White, Billy White, Jerry White and Chester White.
Survivors include two step-sons, Larry Hargett and Vance Hargett, both of Massachusetts; his special grandson, Kevin Pelerin of Ticonderoga and several other grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
A Graveside Service and Celebration of Life will take place at a later date at a time to be announced.
