The Rev. Dr. Dcn. Dorothy "Ricky" L. Brightman

My first interaction with Ricky was on my interview to teach humanities/religion/quakerism at Moses Brown. She looked at my hands and said, "I didn't know Quakers wore fingernail polish..." This was her way of bringing humor to a somewhat tense situation. It totally worked! I appreciated her support throughout my tenure at the school. Holding you all in the Light as Ricky's rich life is celebrated.

I will always remember Coach Brightman as a caring person and patient Coach. Rest in peace, dear lady.
