De Troy Johnson

De Troy Johnson, age 94 of Whitesboro, Oklahoma passed away from this life on November 26, 2025 at his home surrounded by his family. De Troy was born on August 14, 1931 in Whitesboro to Mary Ann (Fields) and Eligha Johnson. After graduating high school, De Troy did what most in the valley did, he went to work hanging sheetrock. His stories told of many legendary rock hangers and maybe even some tall tales. In his younger years, he worked picking cotton and worked with mules. De Troy was an avid hunter and no wildlife was safe when he was in the woods. He enjoyed drinking coffee with family, and Tammy and reminiscing about old times and tall tales. He loved his family dearly and enjoyed each moment with them. He will be deeply missed by all who knew him.

De Troy is survived by his daughter, Deborah Johnson Bigelow (John); son, Micheal Johnson (Teri); five grandchildren, Joseph Ridenhour (Audrey), Tamera Archer (Eric), Christie Tinck (Matt), Martha Cleary, and Micheal Johnson (Dana); twenty great grand children; many great great grandchildren; one sister, Joy WIlson; as well as numerous extended family and a host of friends.

De Troy is preceded in passing by his wife, Treva Kennedy Johnson and granddaughter, Samantha Billy.

Visitation will be on Tuesday, December 2, 2025 from 4:00PM to 6:00PM at McCarn Funeral Service in Talihina.

Graveside services will be on Wednesday, December 3, 2025 at 2:00PM at Whitesboro Cemetery in Whitesboro, Oklahoma. Services have been entrusted to McCarn Funeral Service.
