Deacon Maddux Dillenbeck, 19, of Elkhart, IN passed away on Saturday June 1, 2024 at Memorial Hospital in South Bend, IN. Deacon was born on August 18, 2004 to Jason and Kelly Dillenbeck in Niles, MI.
Deacon graduated from Jimtown High School, class of 2022 and he was attending IVY Tech. Deacon worked at Hoosier Crane Service Company as a crane service technician. Deacon always looked forward to work, he thought of his co-workers as family and was very dedicated to keeping the company moving. In a few weeks he had plans to travel to Ireland, on a golf trip with a co-worker. He enjoyed golfing and playing video games with his friends and family. Deacon was an old soul, he loved to stop by and visit with family and friends at their workplace and home, or simply calling in to see how they were doing. He will be sadly missed. Most of all he loved to spend time with family and friends.
Deacon is survived by his parents Jason and Kelly Dillenbeck of Elkhart, IN ; his brothers Elijah Dillenbeck of Cincinnati, OH., and Cooper Dillenbeck of Elkhart, IN ; grandparents Roger and Sue Rhodes of Niles, MI., and Colleen Raven of Niles, MI., aunts and uncles; Kristal (Scott) Tinkham of Niles, MI., Kerry Wisler of Lakeland, FL., Clint (Mistie) Rhodes of Troy, MO., Mike (Molly) Raven, Niles, MI., Mandy (Michael) Smith of Granger, IN., Jamie (Jason) Lee of Niles, MI., Tad (Abby) Raven of Ft. Wayne, IN., Jo Anna (Jeff) Pugh of Niles, MI and several nephews and nieces. Deacon was preceded in death by his grandpa John Raven.
Visitation will be from 4-8 pm on Thursday June 6, 2024 at Stemm-Lawson-Peterson Funeral Home, 1531 Cobblestone Blvd., Elkhart, IN 46514. Funeral services will be at 11am at St. Mark Missionary Church, 55240 Bittersweet Road, Mishawaka, IN 46545 where visitation will be one hour before funeral services. Senior Pastor Shawn Shepherd from Bethel Christian Church from Kendallville, IN will officiate. Burial will follow at Silverbrook Cemetery in Niles, MI.
