Obituary published on Legacy.com by Stone Brothers Funeral Home - Fort Pierce on Sep. 2, 2025.
On Monday, August 25, 2025, Deaconess Brenda Rowe Robinson loving mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and sister in Christ transitioned to be with the Lord at the age of 73 at Sandgate Gardens Rehabilitation Center in
Fort Pierce, Florida.
Brenda was born on March 30, 1952 in
Fort Pierce, Florida three minutes prior to her twin, Linda to parents, Scott and Evelyn Rowe. The twins always called themselves Brendee and Lindee when addressing each other. Brenda attended elementary school at Frances K. Sweet and High school at Lincoln Park Academy in
Fort Pierce, Fl., graduating in 1970. She also took some college courses at Broward Community College. She married Roger Robinson and to this union was born one son, Roger Jr. Although they later divorced they remained friends until his death.
Brenda entered the workforce being employed by Southern Bell Telephone Company in April 1972 retiring from there due to disability in December 1996. She held positions as Service order typist, Sales clerk, administrative clerk and engineering clerk. After retiring from Bellsouth she worked part time at Chlorinators, Inc. In recent years she was happiest when creating church event banners (pastors' anniversaries, weddings, and banquets) for churches throughout south Florida. One of her favorite scriptures was Ecclesiastes 9:10: Whatsoever thy hand findeth to do, do it with thy might; for there is no work, nor device, nor knowledge, nor wisdom, in the grave, whither thou goest. She used her finances, gifts and talents to the best of her abilities beautifying the house of God. She crocheted blankets and bedspreads, she was a photographer, and a fisherman raising her own fishing worms. Brenda made hats and was also very athletic. She was also known all over town as the Lily Dilly queen because nobody else's measured up to hers. Her favorite candy was peppermints and she had her son and all her nieces and nephews bring her some to the hospital.
She was saved and baptized at the Apostolic Church of Jesus where she served many years in various offices including president of beautification committee, president of hospitality committee and deaconess. Brenda sang in the choir at the Church of God in Christ and one of her favorite songs to lead was The Time is Now to Praise the Lord. In recent years she was a member at Apostolic Crossroad Church of Jesus where she held the office of deaconess.
Deaconess Brenda was preceded in death by her parents, Scott and Evelyn Rowe; her sisters, Evelyn Pearline Thurston and Jennifer Rowe; brothers, Scottie Lee Rowe and Alphonso Rowe and nephews, Terry Simmons, Charles Thurston Jr. and Myron Montgomery.
She is survived by her son, Roger(Latoya) Robinson Jr.; Twin sister and best friend, Linda Fay Rowe; sisters, Zadie Rowe Rosson and Patricia (Manton) Maple; brother, Jesse Bernard(BB) Rowe, grandchildren; Rajaye Robinson and Destinee Robinson, great-grands, Akhia Clark, Honesty Smith, Paris McKinney and King Covington; nephews Andre Thurston, Patrick Curtis(Nedra) Rowe, Scottie Montgomery, Elfred Miller, Jesse Fields III; nieces, Kimberly Miller and Evelyn Cole; and a host of other family members and sorrowing friends who will miss her dearly.
