Survived by wife, Judy; children, Bret (Candi), Scot (Jenny), Mindy Grass (Greg); 10 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Janice Reed; sisters-in-law, Marg Kalal and Sharon Sheehan.
Preceded in death by grandson, Jacob Abels; parents, Carl and Martha Abels.
MEMORIAL SERVICE: Wednesday, May 28th, 10 a.m., at Trinity Church, 848 Gold Coast Rd., Papillion, NE 68046, with a CELEBRATION and Luncheon to follow, at the Tangier Shrine, 2823 S. 84th St., Omaha, NE 68124.
The family suggests memorials to the Tangier Shrine Bowl Unit or Papillion-LaVista Community Schools Foundation.
