Dean Buck

Dean Buck, age 90, of Hurst, Texas, formerly of Arkadelphia, Arkansas, passed away Thursday, November 13, 2025, at his home in Hurst, Texas. He was born July 5, 1935, in Arkadelphia, Arkansas, to the late Newt and Violet “Ted” (Hamm) Buck.

He played basketball at Arkadelphia High School. In 1954, Dean married his high school sweetheart, Patricia Buck. Their union exemplified true partnership and devotion, defining the essence of a loving family man. Dean further dedicated his life to serving his country. He achieved the rank of Master Sergeant in the Army National Guard, displaying exemplary leadership and commitment throughout his military career. A man of God, Dean embodied faith, kindness, and compassion. His family will miss him greatly.

Dean was preceded in death by his parents, Newt and Violet “Ted” (Hamm) Buck; and brother, Ross Buck.

Survivors include his wife, Patricia Buck, daughter, Dee Buck; granddaughter, Kasey Johnson and her husband, Matt; great-grandson, Nash Dean Johnson; brother, Carroll Buck; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be 1:00-2:00 p.m., Friday, November 21, 2025 at Ruggles-Wilcox Chapel with the funeral service beginning at 2:00 p.m. Burial will follow at Unity Cemetery in Arkadelphia, Arkansas.
