Dear Darla, though it was many years ago in Fairfield, California, we treasure the memories of associating with you and Dean. Lynda remembers serving with you in the Primary in both wards. I remember driving and/or riding to work with Dean to Lafayette and Dean always initiated a gospel-centered discussion. Please know that we love you.

Darla,
I wish you the very best. I hadn't realized that Dean had been fighting cancer. I just read the article in the Church News and was shocked to hear Dean had passed away. I am so glad I got to meet him at our 50th Viewmont Reunion. This will be a tuff time for you but with your strong family I am sure you will have lots of support. Again, I wish you the very best.

Dear Darla and Family,
We will be blessed forever because of the time we spent in the San Ramon 2 Ward. We arrived as newly married BYU students and left knowing we had lived in a Zion with Saints who loved the Lord and each other. I think my fondest memory of Dean was the day we blessed Brittany. She was our third and she popped out with crystal blue eyes and white/blonde hair! After the blessing, Dean returned to the pulpit to conduct the meeting and being touched by Brittany´s peaceful spirit and with tears in his eyes said, "Darla, doesn´t that make you want to have another baby? All eyes on Darla as you shook your head No! Darla, you were the perfect wife for Dean. A fiercely loyal couple! I know first hand of loss but I have a strong testimony that Dean will be waiting to meet you! He did so much for so many! We love that period of time we spent with you and count you among SR Cherished friends. Love, Patti

I remember elder Davies in Puerto Rico. My dad served in the mission presidency with him and we´d come over for dinners on occasion. He and sister Davies were always so kind. I remember they gave us a tour of the mission home and let us kids try out the intercome system. Sending our family´s love to you at this time.

Linda and I express our heartfelt condolences to you, Darla, and to your children. Dean was a great man and I always admired him from the mission in Uruguay and the following 50 years. His departure from this life truly leaves a big hole in our lives but we know it is only temporary. I'm sorry I can't be there for the services but my thoughts and prayers will be with you. Love, Mark and Linda Walton

Dean is a wonderful example of stalwart, consecrated service to God and to his fellow men and women. His life is a testament of how attentiveness to important details yields treasured results. Things entrusted to his care were his priorities. Darla, you too are the epitome of a consecrated life. We trust that the Holy Spirit will provide you and your family the same comfort and sacred assurances now that have always graced your lives.

Dear Darla and Family,
Our hearts go out to you and our prayers are with you at this tender time.
It was a joy and blessing for or family to cross paths in the North Salt Lake Parkway Stake. There, Jared served on the High Council under the loving guidance and leadership of your good husband.
One event we talk about and will remember is the High Council Social in your home. We thought it was a family event and showed up at your door with three little boys. Though you could´ve turned us away, you welcomed all five of us with open arms. While waiting for the salmon to be grilled, President Davies stepped away from the others at the event to play Wii with our boys. That small gesture gave our family a glimpse of his thoughtful, loving Grandpa side.
We pray that the peace that Jesus Christ gave unto his Apostles of Old will be with you and your family to comfort you.
Love,
The Bulloch family

Dear Darla and family,
May the Lord grant you the peace and comfort only He and a knowledge of the gospel can bring you. How blessed we are to understand the plan of salvation and the sealing ordinance.
