Dean was born on May 27th, 1944 and passed away on
March 31st, 2025 at the age of 80Dean Davis, aged 80, of Benton, Maine, passed away on March 31, 2025, at the Veterans Administration Hospital in Togus Springs after a prolonged battle with Dementia and Alzheimer's. Born on May 27, 1944, in Shawmut to Harry and Gladys Davis.
Dean served in the 82nd Airborne and was awarded the Purple Heart in the Dominican Republic. He later worked as a general contractor and retired from the Sappi Paper Mill in Hinkley. Dean was the second youngest of ten children, a devoted son to his mother, and a loving brother to his siblings. He married his first wife Susan and raised four children. Throughout his eight decades, Dean's ambitions evolved, but he consistently cherished time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, enjoyed playing cards, and spent winters in Florida. A dedicated supporter of the Clinton Baptist Church, Dean served whenever possible and was a valued friend to the pastor and church members.
He is survived by his wife Sandra and her children William, Amy, Wendy and grandchildren and great grandchildren. Dean's daughters: Tammy Rideout and her husband Charlie, Sheri Davis and her wife Tami, and Melanie Monk and her husband Brian; his son Dean and his wife Justine; grandchildren Joshua, Thomas, Brittany, Cassandra, and Catherine; great-grandchildren Emma, Liam, Easton, Deandre, and Amarianna; sister June; and brother Billy. Dean experienced profound sorrow at the untimely passing of his granddaughter Kate-Lynn in 2022.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, April 09, 2025, at 10:00 A.M at Clinton Baptist Church.
