Dear Faulkner Wells family. We are so sorry to hear of your loss. Our family was stationed in Panama with you and our mother Sandi was good friends with Dean. I have fond memories of my sister Suzanne and Diane and Paige and me knocking coconuts down with bamboo poles in the neighborhood. You are all in our prayers. God Bless

A charming lady and outstanding teacher of the written word. Ms Wells never gave up on this student, she always had a plan to help, her help motivated this student and created a passion for reading for 34 years. God Bless!

I am devastated! I have just read her new book, which my book club will discuss in June, for the second time. Her death was unknown to me, as it was not reported in the Richmond Times Dispatch. My sincere sympathy, Larry. My son is an Ole Miss graduate and my fondness for the Oxford/Faulkner community is unsurpassed. Bev Baker, Powhatan, Virginia

Sending my condolences to you, Larry, and to all of Dean's family members. I'm shocked and saddened to see the In Memoriam in The Southern Register today; coincidentally, I had just ordered Dean's new book yesterday.
I'll never forget the friendly kindness and good-spirited courtesy of your hospitality in Oxford.
In sympathy,

My dear friend, Dean. We shared many LRSH memories. I'll always remember those times in Little Rock... sleep overs, parties at the lakes in Hot Springs,
night swims at the Country Club, and cheerleading for the Tiger team.
Thanks, Larry, for bring her to LR for the book signing and sending
the pictures. They are keepers...so will be my friendship with Dean.
Sleep well my friend.

I am so sorry for your loss of Dean. Just remember that God offers a wonderful future for us all, soon Christ will call all those in the memorial tombs and they will return, young and healthy to a beautiful peaceful earth. What a wonderful time to welcome them back to an earth governed and blessed by Jesus rule, “your kingdom come to earth...”, - John 5: 28,29 & Matthew 6:10

To Diane and the family,
Listen for your mom, her ghost will speak to you. She believed as do I.
May she rest in peace.

Believe it or not, I completed Dean Wells' book last evening. She was quite a lady and lived an interesting life, always able to count on "Pappy." Sorry for the loss.
