Dean Alan Hove, age 67, of Motley, Minnesota, passed away on September 7, 2025. He was born on July 10, 1958, to Willard and Josephine (Spilman) Hove in Rochester, Minnesota. Visitation will be held on Friday, September 12, 2025, from 5pm – 7pm at the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel in Staples. Funeral service will be held on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at 11am at the Swan Valley Lutheran Church with a visitation starting at 10am. Interment will follow at Poplar Cemetery.
Dean lived a full and hardworking life, rooted in simple joys and the love of family. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, hunting, and fishing, and he cherished every moment spent with his grandchildren. Farming brought him great satisfaction, and he took pride in his years as a truck driver, a job he truly loved. His memory will live on in the hearts of all who knew and loved him.
He is survived by his four children, Christina (Kevin Heschke) Hove, Kelly (Chris) Goodlette, Brianne (Brady Bosshart) Hove, and David (Stephanie) Davis; twelve grandchildren, Mikel (Abby), Tayler, Jaden, Katie, Christopher, Gabriel, Harmony, Ainsley, Damian, Eli, Jonnie, and Casen; siblings, Beatrice Meech, Janice (Ronn) Knodel, Dale (Brenda) Hove, Dannie (Amy) Hove, and Duane (Tina) Hove; along with many nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends.
Dean was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Darrell; and nephews, Trenton and Michael.
Arrangements have been entrusted to the Brenny Family Funeral Chapel, Staples.
