We first met Dean when our son joined cub scouts. Dean was the Den master and Val was the Den mother. They were both so eager to teach all of the boys everything that they could. This started a very long and happy friendship. We remember all of the gatherings we would all have together, whether I was stopping by with donuts to see what Dean's latest house project was, (and believe me there was always a project going on of some sort) or just to visit with the fam. We have so many memories of scouting, camping, parties and family barbeques, pinewood derby runs, for both the boys and the adults... so much fun. I remember the year that I actually won the adult race and Dean had a small trophy for the winner. He would teach us the tricks to get the cars to go faster down the track and the boys all had a great time. We even learned how to cook a turkey in a cardboard box!!! I would have never expected that one. I remember camping one time where everyone was freezing their behinds off, but some of us were warm in a camper... lol. Dean and Val introduced us to many more friends throughout the years. We will always have fond memories of Dean, missing out on all of his projects, not seeing him in the parking lot of Lowes anymore or bumping into him locally. We hope that the family will find solice and peace in all of their memories as well and know that he will NEVER be forgotten. We love you Dean, We love you Val and we LOVE the boys and their family too.
