Dean Worley, 82, of Science Hill, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, November 15, 2025 at the Jean Waddle Care Center.
Dean was born on July 26, 1943 to the late Homer & Dora (Hardwick) Worley in West Somerset, Kentucky. Dean enjoyed spending time outdoors, especially fishing, woodworking, and tending to his garden. He had a deep appreciation for history and proudly collected Native American artifacts. A gifted photographer and trained arborist, he approached every project with skill and curiosity. Dean was a natural handyman, an amateur rockhound, and never hesitated to try any new food that came his way. He was a member of Science Hill Christian Church and he was active in the Science Hill Masonic Lodge #25.
He is survived by wife Margaret (Wesley) Worley; his daughter, Vickie Lynn Worley & (Ron Djoko) Soejoto of Iowa Park, TX; a brother, Jim & (Janet) Worley of Liberty, KY; a sister, Linda McKee of Eubank, KY; two grandchildren, Stevie Lynn McCoy and Djamie Madson; 4 great-grandchildren, Scarlett Rae McCoy, Codi Noelle Davis, Stella Evangeline Madson, and Van Djoko Madson; a sister-in-law, Geraldine Worley; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two brothers, Bun Worley and Schultz Worley; and a sister, Martha Worley Dick.
A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Friday, November 21, 2025 in the chapel of Morris & Hislope Funeral Home with Bro. Charles Lucas officiating.
Burial will be at Science Hill Cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until time for services.
