Our beloved Deandre Anthony Salazar passed away Monday January 5th, 2026.
Deandre was born on July 17th, 2009. He was filled with life from the moment he came into this world. He filled it with pure joy and happiness. He had a smile and spirit that could light up even the darkest of rooms. He was a happy boy through and through.
Music was always playing as loud as he could turn it up. He was always singing and dancing and rigging up his grandpa's stereos to see if he could play it just a little bit louder.
He enjoyed his coffee with his pan dulce, his "puerquitos" that his Tia Martha would send him. Always snacking, even if he was a picky eater, he knew what he wanted, you could always find him with fruit in his hand.
Deandre was hands on. He worked best when he had to fix something, or figure it out. If there was something broken, Deandre would find a way to fix it. He was always there to lend a hand to anyone who needed it. He loved to be outside, going camping with family, and out fishing. You could count on him to be the first one up at 5am ready to catch more fish than grandpa.
He loved to travel, and was always looking for adventure. Highlights of his travels were filled with family, visiting many places, and seeking new experiences. He especially loved his trips to Houston. Deandre wasn't shy to find joy in life; he was ready to go. If he was there, he was going to have a good time.
Deandre had so much to offer this world, but we will never forget what he has left with us. His smile, his voice, his grand and kind spirit. Born Deandre Anthony Salazar, but kept in our hearts as Panchito, Panchin, Pan, Chamuco, Tatu, Negro, Dre, and for his mother, her Baby.
He is survived by his mother Stephanie Marie Rivera; his little sister, Arisbeth Marie Tellez; his grandfather, Luis Castanon; his grandmothers, Guadalupe Balderas, Gregoria Salazar; and many cousins, aunts, uncles, and friends.
He will forever be missed.
The family will receive friends from 5:00pm to 7:00pm on Tuesday, January 13, 2025 at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel. A celebration of Deandre's life will be at 11:00am on Wednesday, January 14, 2025 also at Byrum Funeral Home Chapel with interment immediately following in Edgewood Cemetery, Lancaster, TX.

Deandre nació el 17 de julio de 2009. Estaba lleno de vida desde el momento en que llegó a este mundo. Lo llenó de pura alegría y felicidad. Tenía una sonrisa y un espíritu que podían iluminar incluso la habitación más oscura. Era un niño feliz en todos los sentidos.
Siempre ponía música a todo volumen. Siempre cantaba y bailaba, y manipulaba los equipos de sonido de su abuelo para ver si podía subirle un poco más el volumen.
Disfrutaba de su café con pan dulce, sus "puerquitos" que le enviaba su tía Martha. Siempre estaba comiendo algo, aunque era un poco quisquilloso con la comida, sabía lo que quería; siempre se le veía con una fruta en la mano.
Deandre era muy hábil con las manos. Trabajaba mejor cuando tenía que arreglar algo o encontrar una solución. Si algo estaba roto, Deandre encontraba la manera de arreglarlo. Siempre estaba dispuesto a ayudar a quien lo necesitara. Le encantaba estar al aire libre, ir de campamento con su familia y pescar. Podías contar con que sería el primero en levantarse a las 5 de la mañana, listo para pescar más que su abuelo.
Le encantaba viajar y siempre buscaba aventuras. Sus viajes estaban llenos de momentos con su familia, visitando muchos lugares y buscando nuevas experiencias. Le encantaban especialmente sus viajes a Houston. Deandre no tenía miedo de encontrar la alegría en la vida; siempre estaba listo para la diversión. Si él estaba presente, la pasaría bien.
Deandre tenía mucho que ofrecer a este mundo, pero nunca olvidaremos lo que nos dejó. Su sonrisa, su voz, su espíritu noble y bondadoso. Nació como Deandre Anthony Salazar, pero lo recordaremos en nuestros corazones como Panchito, Panchín, Pan, Chamuco, Tatu, Negro, Dre, y para su madre, su Bebé.
Le sobreviven su madre, Stephanie Marie Rivera; su hermana menor, Arisbeth Marie Tellez; su abuelo, Luis Castanon; sus abuelas, Guadalupe Balderas y Gregoria Salazar; y muchos primos, tíos, tías y amigos.
Lo extrañaremos por siempre. La familia recibirá a los amigos de 17:00 a 19:00 horas el martes 13 de enero de 2025 en la capilla de la funeraria Byrum. La celebración de la vida de Deandre tendrá lugar a las 11:00 horas del miércoles 14 de enero de 2025, también en la capilla de la funeraria Byrum, y el entierro se realizará inmediatamente después en el cementerio Edgewood en Lancaster, Texas.
