Deanna Marie Berthelot

A Mass of Christian Burial celebrating the life of Deanna Marie Melancon Berthelot, will be held on Monday December 27, 2021, at 12 noon at St. Joseph Catholic Church, visitation will begin at 9 am. Interment will follow at Our Lady of Perpetual Help Cemetery, Head of Island.

Mrs. Berthelot was born on March 15, 1944, and departed from this life on Monday December 20, 2021, at the age of 77 years, at her home. She was a resident of Maurepas, a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, St. Joseph Catholic Church Rosary Group, and a Eucharistic Minister. She was a devoted wife, mother, maw-maw, and Grammy, and loved spending time with her family. Her grandchildren and great grandchildren had a very special place in her heart. She enjoyed dancing and working in her flower beds.

She is preceded in death by her parents Lucien "L.J." and Elvie "Kite" Melancon, sisters Janice Melancon Barnes, Mona Melancon Evans and infant Melancon.

Survivors include her husband Glenn Berthelot, daughter Kelli Berthelot Aime (Gerald), siblings Kent Melancon (Kim), and Gary Melancon (Lori), grandchildren Jonathan Aime (Kristie), Kadyn Aime Thibodaux (Trent), great grandchildren Olivia, Cayson, and Myles Aime, also survived by a host of nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers, Jonathan Aime, Scott Barnes, Brannon Long, Shane Melancon, Matt Oswalt, and Trent Thibodaux.
