Deanna Lee Gregory

Deanna Lee (Hammond) Gregory, age 71, died on July 1, 2009 at the Jordan Hospital in Plymouth. She was the devoted wife of Dr. Constantine Gregory of Plymouth. Born in Brockton, MA on June 30, 1938, she was the daughter of the late Raeburn and Helen (O'Brien) Hammond. Mrs. Gregory had worked for most of her life as the first IBM operator for a wholesale food distributor in Brockton. She had moved to Plymouth 26 years ago, previously residing in Whitman, MA. Mrs. Gregory is survived by her children; Jeffrey Gagne of IL, Kevin Gagne of Lawrenceville, GA, John Holbrook of Plymouth, MA, Carol-Lee Grindel of Simpsonville, SC, Heidi Gagne of San Marcos, TX, and her step-children; Andrew Gregory of Holly Springs, NC, Matthew Gregory of Austin, TX, and Ann Marie Gregory of Danbury, CT. She also leaves her brother Robert Hammond of Plympton, MA and her sister Arlene Kelleher of Whitman MA. She was the cherished grandmother of 16 and great-grandmother of 2. The funeral will take place on Monday morning at 10:45 a.m. followed by a funeral mass at St. Peter's Church in Plymouth at 11:30 a.m. Friends may call at the Cartmell Funeral Home, 150 Court St., Plymouth on Sunday from 4 to 7 p.m. Interment will be in Colebrook Cemetery, Whitman.
