Deanna Jackson, 86, of Bay, formerly of Paragould, departed this life on Sunday, September 28, 2025, at Lakeside Nursing Center in Lake City. She was born May 16, 1939, in Paragould, Arkansas, to the late Orivile and Margaret McCord.
Deanna was well known for her spirited personality and strong will—she loved a good debate and was certain she was always right. She owned and operated the car wash in Bay for many years and enjoyed spending her free time watching television, especially game shows. Her wit, humor, and determination will be remembered by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Terry Jackson; one sister, Nova Jo Nelson; one brother, David McCord; and her beloved dog, Buddy.
She is survived by her brother, Harvey Lee McCord of Paragould; three sisters, Sharon Collins of Bay, Francella Holbrook of Bay, and Pamela Drury (Jerry) of Philadelphia, Mississippi; one niece, Sara Collins; along with a host of nieces, nephews, and a lifetime of friends.
A graveside service will be held at 2 p.m. on Tuesday, September 30, 2025, at Pine Log Cemetery with Brother Danny Taylor officiating.
