Debbie Alsip Obituary
She was born on July 3, 1956, in Madisonville to the late Norma Zane Clayton Roach and Edward Thomas Roach. Debbie retired as an administrative assistant from Madisonville Community College. She enjoyed reading, watching movies, traveling and taking cruises. She attended Olive Branch Missionary Baptist Church in Hanson, KY.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her brother, Michael David Roach.
Survivors include her husband, Ronnie Alsip; son, Dustin Thomas Bates of Leavittsville, OH; brother, Robin (Beverly) Edward Roach of Madisonville; stepdaughter, Julie (Paul) Nicks of Sewanee, TN; stepson, David (Emily) Alsip of Owensboro, KY; grandchildren, Ethan Bates, Liam Bates, Cameron Bates and Gabriel Bates; step-grandchildren, Wyatt Alsip and Maddie Alsip; and several nieces and nephews.
The funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, December 23, 2025, in the chapel of Harris Funeral Home in Madisonville with Pastor Gary Taylor officiating. Burial to follow at Olive Branch Cemetery in Hanson.
A visitation will be held from 11 a.m. until the funeral hour on Tuesday at the funeral home.
The pallbearers are Col. Christopher Clayton USMC (Ret.), Jeremy Roach, Jack Roach, David Alsip and Wyatt Alsip.
