Debbie Andrews
January 15, 1956 – August 7, 2025Debbie Andrews, 69, of Seaside, Oregon, passed away peacefully on August 7, 2025, after a courageous battle with ALS.
Born on January 15, 1956, in Portland, Oregon, Debbie was the beloved daughter of LaVonne “Bonnie” and Warren Bortz. She lived a life marked by quiet strength, deep love, and unwavering devotion to her family.
Debbie was married for 50 years to her best friend and lifelong partner, Bruce Andrews. Together, they raised three daughters: Erin Walker (Ken), Lori Corrigall (Jared), and Kelli Burt (Jake). She was a proud and devoted grammy to Joshua, Abigail, Cora, and Samuel Walker; Blake and Cameron Corrigall; and Hayden, Ethan, and Westen Burt. Her family was her greatest joy, and she poured her heart into every role she held—wife, mother, grammy, daughter, and friend.
Throughout her career in retail, Debbie was known for her warmth, kindness, and gentle spirit. She especially cherished her time at Bob’s Red Mill, and later at Phillips Candy Store in Seaside, where she continued to share her smile and grace with everyone she met.
Debbie found joy in life’s simple pleasures: tending her garden, caring for her cats, and spending time with her loyal St. Bernard, Elsie. Her love for her home and family was present in every thoughtful detail of her life.
Debbie faced each day—and everyone she met—with a sincere smile, grace, courage, and remarkable inner strength, even on the hard days. Showing her true warrior spirit in living with ALS, she had also previously and successfully defeated melanoma twice. Her resilience and determined spirit were an inspiration to all who knew her. She was truly one of a kind!
A private family service will be held to celebrate her life.
