Debbie Faust Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Eichel Funeral Home on Aug. 19, 2021.
Debbie Faust, age 66, of Marlton, formerly of Collingswood, passed away on August 18, 2020. Survived by her life partner, Joe Galanti; daughter, Tarra Dorney; granddaughter, Payton; parents, Dorothy and James Faust; step-mom, Kathy; sisters, Sheryl and Robyn Faust; nephews, Tommy and Jimmy; niece, Stacie; great-nephew, Geoffrey; and great-niece, Izelle.
She started working odd jobs after high school & worked her way up to running a successful night club for many years. She was very intelligent & always had a mind for business. She worked while putting herself through business school, working for an engineering firm in Cherry Hill until she retired. She always worked hard to be able to put a roof over her family's head, to help support herself & her family, both financially & emotionally. She was blessed to have the love of an amazing man, they shared their lives together for 40 years. She worked hard for her daughter & granddaughter when they fell on tough times. She accumulated many lifelong friendships which she cherished. She loved being a grand mom & spending time with her mother, sister, daughter & grand daughter, Payton, was honestly her pride and joy.
She was an extremely strong willed woman & fought until the very end. Due to an illness, she experienced many medical treatments, even surviving a coma & a transplant to prolong her life for her family. She was a survivor. Beyond all our hope & prayers, & her strong will to fight, her battle with pancreatic cancer was just too much for her body to overcome. After suffering from this horrible disease, she was finally at peace when the angels took her on August 18th at 1:05 pm at Samaritan Hospice in Voorhees, NJ.
Unselfish to the end, she did not wish to have a funeral service, she asked us to respect her final wishes that we use any funds available to be used for others, rather than for herself. Her final resting place will be in a columbarium at Harleigh Cemetary located at 1640 Haddon Avenue in Camden, NJ 08103.
Prayer cards are being made in her memory & mailed as requested.
Services will be held privately. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in Debbie's name to the Women's Opportunity Center (www.womensopportunity.org) or a local shelter of your choosing.
