Mrs. Debbie Joy Tart Wilson , age 67, of St. Pauls, North Carolina, passed away on March 14, 2026 at UNC Southeastern in Lumberton.

Debbie was born on October 15, 1958, in Robeson County, North Carolina, to the late Earl Tart, Jr. and the late Marylyn Louise Wilson Tart. She spent her life rooted in family and community and was known for her quiet strength and caring spirit.

Debbie is survived by her loving son, Carey Lee Wilson of Greensboro; her brother, Kevin Dean Tart of St. Pauls; her daughter-in-law, Andrea Lynn Hyatt of St. Pauls; and a host of grandchildren including Jared Scott Wilson, Jayden Bradley Wilson, Addison Wilson, Aiden Wilson, and Shaquan Anderson. She is also survived by nieces and nephews, including Jerrica Lynn Tart of St. Pauls, Ashlyn Brown of Miami, and Stephen Brown of St. Pauls; her special pet cat, Maggie Mae and a host of other relatives and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her son, Brian Scott Wilson, and her brother, Randy Earl Tart.

A funeral service will be held on Sunday,  March 22, 2026, at 2:00 PM at McNeill Legacy Funeral Home Chapel with visitation will be held prior to the service from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. Interment will follow at Gardens of Faith Cemetery.

Debbie will be remembered for her love of family, her gentle nature, and the lasting impact she made on those who knew her.
