It is with deep love and sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother and grandmother Debora Thomas Mozingo. Debbie went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 26, 2025, at home surrounded by family.
She was the heart and soul of our family. A devoted mother, grandmother, caregiver, and friend whose genuine kindness touched everyone she met. From open home to healing hugs, she welcomed and nurtured anyone in need.
She was a faithful servant of God who was always ready with a prayer, smile, or helping hand. She will be missed immensely by all who knew her. Though our hearts are heavy, we rejoice knowing that she is at peace in God's presence. Her light will forever shine in the lives she touched.
Debbie was preceded in death by her father, John Council; brother, Mitchell; sisters, Vicky and Sharon; and granddaughter, Taylor.
She leaves to cherish her memory, her husband, William "Bill" Mozingo of Fayetteville; daughter, Christina Sailar and husband Charles of Fayetteville; daughter. Brenda Williams and companion Jane of Hope Mills; son, Mac Williams and fiancee Crystal; grandkids, Tiffany, Autumn, Bubba, Elijah, Jessica, Mackenzie, and Kingston; mother, Dorothy Council of Fayetteville; sister, Virginia Quinn and husband Robert of Fayetteville; sister, Sandra Wright of Fayetteville; brother, Kenneth Thomas and wife Christine of Fayetteville; aunt, Shirley Royal of Clinton; lifelong friend, Sandra Starling of Fayetteville; and a host of other family and friends.
