Amos, Deborah Ann Chappell, age 72, of Lebanon, TN passed away quietly at home on June 17, 2022 after a long illness. She was surrounded by people she loved and who loved her, who knew her sweetness and kindness, her joyfulness and her humor. Debby Ann, as her mother affectionately called her, led a lifetime of nurturing and devotion to her siblings, to her son Brian, her grandson, Bailey, to her late husband, Ronnie, her parents and her friends. Though sher grew old, as we all must, retiring from an accounting career at Tractor Supply to enjoy her lifestyle of playing cards with friends, traveling and camping, she remained forever a teenager in spirit. She was a living memory of 1960's Friday night dances at Two Rivers High and Donelson High, of a child dressed up in a rabbit costume performing the bunny hop with a hundred of her elementary school friends, of a young military wife during the Vietnam War, and of a young working mother who adored her child Brian and was inseparable from Ronnie. Always laughing like a teenager; always listening; always looking to do the right thing and to help others see all the good in things.

She will be terribly missed now by those who survive her:

Son – Brian Chappell

Grandson – Bailey Chappell

Sister – Margaret Chappell (Jeff) Fawbush

Brother – Lindsay (Susan) Chappell

Sister-in-law – Sarah Jane (Johnny Ray) Boyd

Step-mother – Bonnie Chappell

And enough nieces and nephews and grand nieces and grand nephews to put on their own bunny hop

Funeral services will be conducted 1 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2022 at Bond Memorial Chapel with James Johnson officiating. Interment will follow at Hermitage Memorial Gardens. Pallbearers will be Jeff Fawbush, Travis Kembro, Dan Chappell, Bobby Cress, Sam McCullough and Nick Chappell.
