Deborah L. Ashman, 72, of Scenery Hill Manor, Indiana, PA, formerly of East Haven, CT, and Woodbridge, VA passed away peacefully surrounded by family on Friday, September 26, 2025, at Scenery Hill Manor.
She was born in Indiana, PA, on March 14, 1953, to the late Myrtle L. (Shanefelt) Cowoski and Jay F. Peterman.
Debbie retired as a grocer in East Haven, CT where she lived and worked for 34 years and was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother who loved her family.
Surviving are her husband, Robert Ashman, South Carolina; son, Richard (Robin) Davis, Indianapolis, IN; daughter, Kathy Davis, Indiana, PA; daughter, Lisa (Michael Gardner) Davis, Altoona, PA; step-daughter Carrie Ludwiczak, South Carolina; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; sister, Connie Byrant, Ohio; brother, Joseph Cowoski, Florida; sister, Sandy Shirley; brother, Tom Cowoski, Ohio; sister, Janice Fisher, Virginia; sister, Cheryl Nicholas, Texas.
Besides her parents, Deborah was preceded in death by eight siblings, brothers Alex, Ronald, James, and Bob Cowoski, sisters Helen Martin, Rose Iosue, Patricia and Barbara Cowoski and a grandson Dashaun Charles.
All services are private and have been entrusted to the care of the Bowser Minich Funeral Home, Indiana.
