Sister Deborah Denise Bean was born on May 23, 1963, in Texarkana, Arkansas, to the late Ethel Mae Bean. Deborah was adopted by John Henry and Lizzie Edwards. Deborah lived a life with an abundance of love, laughter, and a great love for her family. On July 24, 2025, Deborah departed her earthly home only to be elevated to higher grounds. Among the skies awaiting her arrival are her mother, Ethel Mae Bean, adopted parents, John Henry and Lizzie Edwards; two brothers: Roy L. Bean and Thomas Earl Bean, Sr.; and one sister, Evelyn Roland Bean. Deborah was united in holy matrimony with James Benton, Sr., who also preceded her in death. There were no children born to this union. Deborah leaves her legacy to be cherished by her one and only daughter, Letitia Ann Bean of Little Rock, Arkansas; one sister, Dorothy Sims of Texarkana, Texas; one brother, Luster Lee Bean of Needmore, Arkansas; and one uncle, Johnnie Ray Bean of Houston, Texas. One aunt, Rosie Bean of Atlanta, Georgia; one special friend and caregiver, Kathleen Elliott, six grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, cousins, and other family members and friends.
