Deborah Lee Bertrand

Deborah Lee Bertrand of Wilmington, NC and formerly of Syracuse, NY, passed away Saturday, May 23, 2009. She was born on May 12, 1951 in Syracuse, NY, the daughter of the late James and Elizabeth Hill Farrell. Deborah was a locally known artist. She had a passion for gardening that she brought to life both through her art and her gardens. She was a self proclaimed Francophile – Deborah loved to travel all over France and especially loved Provence. Deborah will be remembered for having a zest for life and a fighting spirit Surviving are her husband of 26 years, Robert J. Bertrand of Syracuse, NY; two daughters, Deirdre Bertrand of Wilmington, NC and Kiersten Snover of Cleveland, OH; three beloved grandchildren, Austen, Joshua, and Kimberly; her sister, Kimberly Rossiter; her brother, James Farrell, Jr.; and several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held at 6 PM Wednesday, May 27, 2009 in Andrews Mortuary Valley Chapel.
