Deborah Blosser

Deborah Posey Blosser, 71, of Stafford County, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 7, 2025, at Mary Washington Hospital.

Deborah was a proud 1971 graduate of Stafford High School and went on to earn her degree from Mary Washington College in 1975. She dedicated 39 years of her life to teaching 6th grade at Drew Middle School, where she was a respected and devoted educator who touched countless young lives.

A lifelong lover of music, Deborah cherished singing as an alto in choirs and ensembles. In her early married years, she enjoyed playing softball and bowling in leagues, activities she continued for many years. Above all, her greatest joy was her family and the companionship of her numerous beloved furry cat buddies.

She is survived by her husband, Daniel L. Blosser; her daughter, Kelly Danielle Payne; and her two granddaughters, Scarlett Grace Payne and Josephine Iola Payne, who lovingly knew her as "Buddie." She was preceded in death by her sister, Carolyn Posey Payne, and her parents, Samuel and Josephine Cox Posey.

A memorial service will be held at 6:30 p.m. on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Covenant Funeral Service, Fredericksburg. The family will receive friends beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel. Interment will be private.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to your local SPCA in Deborah's honor.
