Deborah Blumfelds Obituary

Obituary published on Legacy.com by Tuttle Funeral Home on Dec. 31, 2025.
Deborah "Debbie Semel" Blumfelds, 54, passed away on December 28, 2025, at her home in Dover, New Jersey. She was born in Rochester, New York, to Dr. Charles and Donna Semel, and later moved to New Jersey, where she built a life filled with love, laughter, and deep connections.
Debbie had many passions that brought her joy and fulfillment. She loved traveling, especially to beaches, with Riviera Maya in Mexico holding a special place in her heart. Her love of travel inspired her proud collection of magnets-anyone going away knew they had to bring one back for Debbie. She also loved cooking and could often be found trying new recipes for her family and friends.
One of Debbie's greatest joys was her love for cats. She found deep companionship with her late cat, Smokey, and cherished all the cats she met along the way. Together, Debbie and Smokey spent many happy hours watching cat videos. Debbie was also a devoted New York Giants fan, faithfully cheering them on even during challenging seasons.
Debbie was predeceased by her father, Dr. Charles Semel; her brother-in-law, Christopher Talbot; and her beloved cat, Smokey.
She is survived by her loving husband of 14 years, Aldis Blumfelds; her mother, Donna Semel; her sister, Melissa Semel, and her husband, Jay Grassi; her nieces and nephews Andrew Ginsberg, Diana Chicaleski, Stacey Grassi, Patrick Talbot, and Captain Robert Talbot, USAF; her sister-in-law, Lilita Talbot; and her mother-in-law, Aija.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Sunday, January 4, 2026, from 11:00 a.m. to 1:00 p.m., followed by a Jewish Funeral Service at 1:00 p.m., at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. Interment is private. For more information or to leave an online condolence, please visit www.tuttlefh.com.
