Deborah A. "Debbie" Bourbeau
Of Cambridge, passed away peacefully on Sunday, September 28, 2025, with her loving daughter and granddaughters by her side in the comfort of her home at the age of 75.
Born on June 9, 1950, in Waltham, she was the daughter of the late Colin Young and Doris (Saulnier) Young. Debbie was raised in Waltham and graduated from Waltham High School with the Class of 1969. Following graduation, she attended cosmetology school and began a successful career as a hairdresser. Her passion and talent for beauty led her to own and operate her own hair salon in Waltham for many years.
Debbie lived life to the fullest and brought joy wherever she went. She loved planning vacations and traveling, especially to her favorite destinations-Jamaica and her beloved Grammy Saulnier's house. She enjoyed music and dancing, modeling, makeup, hair, cooking, and dining at fine restaurants. One of the most influential people in Debbie' life was her High School English Teacher, Mr. Ira Steinburg, not a conversion could be had without Debbie mentioning his name. Above all, Debbie cherished spending time with her family and friends, especially her grandchildren Daniel, Joshua, Maite, Makaya, and her great-grandchildren.
She will be remembered for her caring and loving nature, her beauty inside and out, her loyalty, fun spirit, and for being the life of every party. Debbie had a deep belief in angels-and those who knew her are comforted knowing she is now among them.
Debbie is survived by her mother Doris Saulnier Young. Her loving daughter Brandie Therenciel; her grandchildren Daniel, Joshua, Maite, Makaya, her great grandchildren; her loving siblings Colin Young Jr., Kevin Young, and Shawn Young. Her nieces and nephews, Dina Warchal (Mummolo), Kevin Young Jr., and Shawn Young Jr.& his wife Gina; and her former husband David Bourbeau. In addition, she has many cousins and close friends.
Debbie is reunited in heaven with her loving and dear sister Judy Sharpe who sadly passed three days prior to Debbie. Sisters joined in life and in Death.
Family and friends are welcome to gather and celebrate Debbie and Judy's zest for life, at their request they wanted a celebration! To remember the love and friendship they shared with so many in their lifetime at the Sons of Italy on Sunday afternoon October 19th, 99 Cedar Street, WALTHAM from 2:00 pm until 6:00 pm.
