Deborah Ann Bravender, a longtime resident of Marrero, LA, passed away on Saturday, January 17, 2026 at the age of 74, surrounded by her loved ones and leaving a void her family will never be able to fill. Deborah was born in New Orleans, Louisiana in 1951 to the late Mary Elizabeth McCrary Larmeu and Gerald Francis Bravender. She was the step daughter of Raymond Larmeu and sister of Susan Schafer. Former wife of William H. Cotten. Mother of Christie Cotten (Dale) and Carrie Cotten (Christian). Loving grandmother of Brandon Cotten and Sophia Aguiluz. She was a graduate of Archbishop Blenk High School and a longtime employee of D. H. Holmes (Dillards) and Walmart. Deborah was preceded in death by her father, Gerald Bravender, her mother, Mary Larmeu, and her grandson, Brandon Cotten. She is survived by two daughters, Christie and Carrie Cotten and granddaughter, Sophia Aguiluz, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins. Relatives and friends of the family are invited to attend the Memorial Mass in the chapel of Mothe Funeral Home, 7040 Lapalco Blvd., Marrero, LA on Saturday, January 31, 2026 at 11am. Visitation will be held from 9am until 11am. Family and friends can view and sign the online guest book at www.mothefunerals.com.
