Nancy and Lee Riggs
May 29, 2024
Not all angels come in robes with wings. Deborah came as a nanny in athletic clothes. We knew our precious grandchildren were safe with Deborah when Donna worked in distant sites. She called Lee Grandpa. Travel lightly, Deborah. Nancy and Grandpa

Deborah walked into our lives like a God sent angel. As soon as I met her and interviewed her I knew she was a perfect fit for our family. She became much more than our family´s nanny. She is part of our family. There just are not words enough to describe our journey in life. She did such a wonderful job with Hans and Dietre. She cared for them as if they were her own and always had their best interest at the forefront. She brought organization to our chaos and when tragedy struck and the children father became sick and passed away, she was right there as a rock helping us.
Deborah helped raise Hans and Dietre and she used to joke that she just never knew what she was going to be doing at the Griesinger house: homework, camping, 4 wheeling, zip lining, going to dance, going to ball practice, jetting to Hawaii. She was there for all of it. She took the conceal carry class with me and earned her nickname, "the pistol packing nanny." When Dieter and I went to Mayo Clinic, she moved in and held the family together.
After Deborah got married, graduated from college, and moved to the coast with Mitch, the children visited on both coasts on numerous occasions.
We will forever be grateful for all she gave to us. I honestly don´t know how we would have survived without her love, care, and stability she gave. We will forever look after her family as she did ours.
We find comfort in knowing how strong her faith is and that she is whole again and no longer sick. She now walks with angels but to us she always was an angel.
We love you Deborah: more than words could ever express. We pray for Mitch, Brooklyn, and Beau as well as your parents, brother, grandparents, cousins, and friends. You are a gift from God and I know you are now with Jesus. Thank you for everything you gave and brought to us - a lifetime of love.
With heartfelt love and sympathy to Mitch, Brooklyn, Beau and all your family,
The Griesinger Family
