Deborah Duhon Clark, 70, a resident of Berwick, passed away Sunday, January 25, 2026, at her home.
She was born August 6, 1955, in Crowley, the daughter of Dudley Duhon and Wava Simar Young. Deborah was affectionately raised by her step-father, Curtis Young.
Deborah was a passionate educator who dedicated over 30 years to Berwick Elementary School, inspiring countless young minds with her unwavering commitment and love for teaching. Her laughter could often be heard in the hallways, and her kindness left a mark on countless students, colleagues, and friends. Beyond the classroom, Deborah found true joy in music, with a special fondness for swamp pop that filled her home and heart. She also loved gardening, cultivating beautiful gardens that reflected her vibrant spirit and nurturing nature.
She will be sadly missed and lovingly remembered by her two children, Terri Clark, Shawn Clark and wife Brandi Watson; seven grandchildren, Ira Williams, Sidney Veillon and husband Joel, Jeremy Sylestine, Donna Sylestine, Alexis Clark, Alivia Clark, Asher Clark; six Great-grandchildren, Tayler, Ari, Taegan, Leia, Blayson, Reina; siblings, Linda Faye Leboeuf and husband Chester, Cheryl Broussard and husband David, Barbara Young, Dorothy Young and significant other Blake Allemand, Denise Young and significant other Anthony Acosta, Curleen Young, Curtis Young Jr and wife Melissa, Kathy Thorton, Janie Brasher, Amos Wayne Young, and Carol Young; numerous nieces and nephews.
Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Dudley Duhon, Wava Young and Curtis Young; husband, Steve Clark; sister, Christine Duhon.
A celebration of Deborah’s life will take place on Monday, February 2, 2026, at 1:00 PM, at Twin City Funeral Home. Friends, family, and all who loved her are invited to join us as we honor and remember Deborah from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services. Following the service, Deborah will be laid to rest with her husband, Steve, in the Berwick cemetery.
