Deborah Lee (Brooks) Copp June 9, 1951 - November 25, 2023 Deborah Lee Copp, age 72, passed away in her Rice, Washington home surrounded by her loving family on the morning of November 25, 2023. Deborah was born on June 9, 1951 in Modesto, California to Lyle and Roberta Brooks.

Deborah would graduate from high school before meeting the love of her life, Boyd Copp. In 1973, Deborah and Boyd would move to Cle Elum, where they would raise their four children, Amy, Jack, Jake, and James, and the couple would go on to be joined in marriage on April 18th, 1979. Deborah would begin working at a sawmill in the early 70's, and would transition to a position as a welder at Shoemaker Manufacturing, where she would continue to work until retirement.

With a desire to be closer to the idyllic fishing spots in Northeast Washington, Deborah and Boyd would make the decision to relocate to Rice following their retirement. With the slower pace that retirement offered, Deborah was most happy to take advantage of the extra time to spend with her growing family. No matter where you found Deborah, whether it was fishing, gardening, or simply enjoying the peace of retirement with Boyd, you were sure to find her with a contagious smile on her face, and an open Miller High Life nearby.

Deborah was preceded in death by her parents, Lyle and Roberta Brooks, and her brother, Vincent L. Brooks.

She is survived by her loving husband and friend, Boyd Copp; her children, Amy Wait, Jack Copp, Jake Copp, and James Copp; her grandchildren, Nolan and Kaitlyn Wait, and Hannah, Wyatt, and Piper Copp, along with her siblings, Sharon Lorraine Woods, Beverley Ann Hedger, Nanine Laverne Serrato, and Lawrence G. Brooks.
