Mrs. Deborah Davis, age 65, of Douglas, Georgia passed away at her residence on May 6, 2025. She was born in Miami, Florida on May 5, 1960 but lived most of her life in Douglas. Mrs. Davis was the daughter of the late Wallace Delong and Gloria Clair Schumaker Delong. She was a member of St. Paul Catholic Church in Douglas and was a retired laundry and pressing technician with Speed Queen Laundry.
Mrs. Davis is survived by her husband of 47 years, Alvin Junior Davis of Douglas; three sons and daughters-in-law: Timmy and Jennie Davis of Douglas, Austin and Bianca Davis of Adel, Georgia, MicAnthony Hay of New York; a daughter, Heather Thomas of Douglas; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Robert Rawlings; two sisters, Mechelle Ausley and Kim Wiggins; and her special friend, Pam Walker. In addition to her parents, Mrs. Davis was preceded in death by a daughter, Kendra Davis; a grandson, Blayze Davis; a brother, Darrell Rawlings; a step father, Ronald Whatley; and a sister, GiGi Williams.
The funeral services for Mrs. Davis will be held at 3:00 PM on Thursday May 8, 2025, in the Chapel of Boone Funeral Home (1804 S. Hutchinson Ave. in Adel, Georgia) with Rev. Johnny Hendley officiating. Interment will follow at Wilkes Cemetery in Cook County. The visitation will take place at the funeral home from 2:00 PM until 3:00 PM prior to the funeral service. Jose Ortiz, Jeremy King, Anthony Davis, Zack White, Michael Stone and Corey Carter will serve as pallbearers. "Jealous of the Angels" and "Dancing in the Sky" will be played at the service.
