Debbie “Ernie” Starnes Earnhardt, 71, of Kannapolis, passed away Saturday, December 14, 2024, at her home in Kannapolis, NC.
Debbie was born June 11,1953 in Charlotte, North Carolina to the late Walter Wilbert Starnes and the late Ruby Mae Wallace.
She is preceded in death by husband Joe Earnhardt, son Joey Earnhardt Jr. and granddaughter Katrina Joe Lipke. As well as sibling; Billie Harrington. As well as brothers-in-law; Mickey Harrington, and Ray Allman.
Debbie retired from the DMV as Senior Drivers Licenses Examiner. Previously, she was the Finishing Manager at Craftsman’s Fabrics for 30+ years. Debbie enjoyed spending weekends at the lake and fishing with her grandkids. She was the best crappie catcher of the family. She was a devoted wife, mother, and mawmaw (gram). Debbie loved her grandchildren more than anything in the world. She will forever be missed and remembered for being the amazing Super Mawmaw she was.
The family will receive friends from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm, December 21, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The funeral service will start at 1:00 pm on December 21, 2024, at Hartsell Funeral Home of Concord. The service will be officiated by the Rev. Kevin Munson with the burial to follow at the Oakwood Cemetery at 421 Church Street, Concord.
Survivors include daughter Tracie Lipke (John) of Granite Quarry, NC and son Darron Earnhardt (Wendy) of Kannapolis, NC. Grandchildren; Chasity Dougherty (Michael), Johnny Lipke, and Anissa Journell (Matt) of Mooresville, NC. Sisters; Sandy Smith (Eddie), Terry Allman, and Wanda Little. As well as numerous nieces and nephews.
