Deborah Ann Flaherty, 69, of Mt. Washington passed away on June 17, 2024. The daughter of the late David and MaryAnn (Novogradac) Johnston, she was born on January 27, 1955. Deborah grew up in Mt. Washington, was the oldest of seven children and attended South Hills High School. She loved karaoke and cartoons, and worked at Asbury Heights where she was a well-known and hard-working caretaker. She is survived by her husband of 20 years, Dennis Flaherty; three children Christyn Fowler (Scott Eckles), Stephanie Charnay and Jeff Fowler (Jamie Marsh); two grand-children Evan and Kylie Fowler; a brother David Johnston of Radcliff, KY and two sisters, Marsha Johnston of Mt. Washington and Michele Kissel of Troy Hill. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her siblings, Michael Johnston, MaryAnn Robinson, and Dawn Marie Johnston. All services will be private and held at the convenience of the family. Arrangements entrusted to WM SLATER AND SONS, INC., 301 Virginia Ave., Mt. Washington, 15211, (412)-381-3345.
