Deborah (Drotar) Geyer, age 72, of Lambertville, Michigan, passed away after a brief illness on Tuesday, November 25, 2025.
Deborah was born on December 31, 1952, in Toledo, Ohio, to the late Charles and Elvira Drotar. She was a proud graduate of Central Catholic High School (Class of 1970) and later earned her bachelor's and master's degrees from the University of Toledo.
Debby spent her professional career at The Toledo Blade, where she made a lasting impact as the Newspaper in Education Coordinator, supporting literacy and education throughout the community.
Deborah will be deeply missed by her loving husband, Douglas Geyer; her children, Jennifer (Joe) Crawford of Barrington, Illinois, and Andrew (Katie) Geyer of Austin, Texas; and her beloved grandchildren, Claire, Nora and Leni. She will also be fondly remembered by extended family, friends and all those whose lives she touched.
Visitation will be held at Walker Funeral Home, 5155 W. Sylvania Ave., on Monday, December 1, 2025, from 4 pm to 7 pm. A Memorial Mass will take place on Tuesday, December 2, 2025, at 10:30 am, at St Catherine's of Siena, 4555 N Haven Ave.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the donor's choice in her honor.
Deborah's warmth, compassion and kindness will remain forever in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.
