Deborah Jane Gray was born June 1, 1949, to Richard and Beatrice Keeling in Tulsa, Oklahoma. She was raised around the Oolagah, Oklahoma area. Deborah went to and graduated from Oolagah High School. She earned her bachelor’s degree in graphic design at Tulsa University.

Deborah went on a blind date and met Jim. She fell in love with Him. Deborah married Jim Gray on September 1, 1973.  They spent fifty plus years together. Deborah spent her working career as a teacher at Broken Arrow School District.

Deborah loved being with her grandkids. She enjoyed crocheting. Deborah was a good listener, you could share anything with her and she would work with you to figure out how to make things work. She did have a little bit of a stubborn streak. Deborah was good with scripture knowledge.

Deborah Jane Gray passed from this life on January 9, 2024, at Saint John’s Hospital. She will be missed by all who loved and knew her.

Deborah is survived by her husband Jim Gray; her son Michael (Amy) Gray; her brother Jack (Darlene) Keeling; her seven grandchildren Emalee, Richard, Cheyenne, Virginia, Mary, Chase, and Isaac. She is preceded in death by her parents Richard and Beatice Keeling.

Funeral service for Deborah Gray will be at 2:00 PM on Friday, January 12, 2024, at Chapman-Black Funeral Home Chapel, with committal to follow at Woodland Cemetery in Cleveland, Oklahoma. Arrangements have been made by Chaplman-Black Funeral Home, Cleveland, Oklahoma.
